The teacher is expected to effectively handle Grades 9 and 10 ensuring students are well-prepared for board examinations while fostering critical thinking analytical skills and confident written and verbal expression. Strong English proficiency is essential for classroom instruction academic documentation and professional communication.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver structured English lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum for Grades above 6-10 especially in Grades 9 and 10.
Teach English Language and Literature focusing on comprehension grammar writing skills and literary analysis
Prepare students effectively for board examinations including internal assessments and summative evaluations
Design and implement formative summative and competency-based assessments as per board guidelines
Maintain thorough knowledge of board examination paper patterns marking schemes and assessment criteria
Stay updated with all curriculum updates circulars and assessment reforms recommended by the Central Board of Secondary Education
Provide academic support through remedial classes enrichment activities and exam-oriented guidance
Create a disciplined inclusive and academically focused classroom environment
Maintain accurate lesson plans assessment records and academic documentation
Collaborate with department members coordinators and school leadership
Communicate effectively with parents and the school community regarding academic progress
Uphold child safeguarding academic integrity and professional ethics

Minimum five years of total teaching experience compulsory
Mandatory: Minimum two years of experience teaching English in Grades 9 and 10 in a Central Board of Secondary Education or equivalent school
Preferred: Experience as a Grade 10 Board Examination Examiner or Evaluator
