The Corrections Nurse is responsible for providing care and care coordination for inmates who are incarcerated in a correctional facility.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care within a correctional facility. The Corrections RN plays a critical role in delivering quality healthcare to an incarcerated population while ensuring compliance with clinical standards safety protocols and facility regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop care plans

• Administer medications treatments and injections per provider orders

• Respond to medical emergencies and triage inmate patients

• Manage chronic care clinics and follow-up care

• Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records

• Collaborate with providers LPNs and correctional staff

• Ensure compliance with state nursing regulations and correctional healthcare policies

• Provide patient education and health counseling

Requirements:

• Active RN license in good standing

• Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience (required)

• Previous correctional emergency acute care or medical-surgical experience preferred

• Strong assessment critical thinking and documentation skills

• Ability to work effectively in a secure fast-paced environment

• Must pass background check drug screening and facility clearance
