In collaboration with colleagues across the globe the Scale Fundraising team helps identify and find funding for transformational projects and investments in global public health. PSIs Scale team housed within the Global Fundraising Department offers assistance to field-based programs when responding to government multilateral and other institutional donor requests for proposals. Scale also provides additional fundraising support to PSI country platforms facing funding shortfalls. The team also builds the capacity of PSI country platforms to prepare proposals.

PSI seeks a Senior Manager Scale Funding that will Identify and secure funding opportunities steward partners and lead high-quality proposal development aligned with PSIs priorities. Serve as an advisor on their relevant funding area/donor(s) and associated landscape contribute to fundraising strategy and represent PSI externally to strengthen visibility and donor relationships.

What Youll Do

  • Identify cultivate and solicit funding opportunities to grow the portfolio and develop a healthy financial pipeline for future years. Develop enhance and steward existing donors/partners to significantly increase giving levels and alignment with PSIs priorities. Lead partner/coalition identification and negotiations. Lead proposal/opportunity processes. Serve as lead writer on select opportunities. Lead on non-technical writing. Facilitate strategy discussions drafting and editing content and incorporating reviewer feedback. Review country-led proposals as assigned.
  • Partner with Senior Advisor II Scale Lead to develop and implement fundraising strategy for relevant funding focus area as part of the larger Strategic Growth and Engagement team vision and strategy and PSIs programs. Support the establishment of short and long-range goals objectives tactics and fundraising targets to guide priority activities under the relevant funding areas strategy and provide ongoing tracking and reporting of progress. Support relevant pipeline tracking and reporting.
  • Provide internal expertise on relevant funding area/donor(s) and associated landscape. Provide expertise to the department other departments and PSIs network to increase capacity in fundraising. Drive the use of industry-best practice processes and tools to improve the PSIs ability to successfully fundraise.
  • Represent PSI with external audiences and facilitate and support appropriate donor interaction with program staff and senior organization leaders to position PSI for funding and increase its profile.

  • 10-25% international travel

What Youll Bring

  • Bachelors Degree (or international equivalent) in a related field
  • Masters Degree (or international equivalent) in a related field preferred
  • At least 10 years of related experience. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted.
  • Ability to build relationships with partners governments and donors translating into funding opportunities preferably at a large international organization.
  • Ability to manage the execution of complex proposals/fundraising opportunities.
  • Ability to clearly understand and communicate complex information to both internal and external audiences adapting the message for varying levels of knowledge and expertise.
  • Strong writing editing reviewing and research skills and attention to detail.
  • In-depth knowledge of international development global health and relevant funding sources within the sector.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

Salary Ranges:*


PSI is committed to pay equity and transparency. We ensure pay meets the market within each country. This approach minimizes our impact on local talent markets and allows PSI to attract and retain employees while staying cost-competitive.

Actual base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as a candidates qualifications experience internal equity external market analysis and other business factors permitted by law. Hiring above the mid-point of the range below would not be typical in order to allow for potential future salary growth.

PSI is offering the following gross annual salary ranges for this position dependent on candidate location:

  • For the United States (paid in USD): $108000 (minimum) - $135000 (midpoint) - $162000 (maximum)
