Job Summary
An established engineering environment is seeking an experienced Geometric Design Engineer to contribute to the planning design and delivery of transport infrastructure projects. The role requires strong technical expertise combined with proven experience in contract administration and project management across multidisciplinary teams.
Job Description:
- Undertake geometric design for road and transportation infrastructure projects
- Prepare and review design drawings reports and technical documentation
- Manage contracts including contract administration and compliance with contractual requirements
- Lead and coordinate project activities from design through construction
- Liaise with clients contractors and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
- Monitor project schedules budgets quality and risk
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
- Ensure compliance with relevant design standards codes and regulations
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 815 years experience in geometric design engineering
- Strong background in road and transport infrastructure projects
- Demonstrated experience in contract administration and project management
- Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g. AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar)
- Solid understanding of industry standards and best practices
- Strong communication leadership and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
Qualification:
BEng/ BTech Civil Engineering
Professionally Registered or eligible to register
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered
