DescriptionInova Health Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine is seeking board-certified (or eligible) Physician in Internal Medicine Family Medicine Pediatric Medicine or Emergency Medicine with Fellowship training in Sports Medicine. This Primary Care Sports Medicine physician will provide non-surgical musculoskeletal care in a growing area of Northern Virginia with a primary location in Fairfax VA.

Primary Care Sports Medicine Responsibilities:
- Physician-led organization: Inova is a physician-led organization that prioritizes and values the importance of primary care. We offer 40 primary care locations and 6 Sports Medicine locations across Northern Virginia and continue to invest and grow in this specialty.
- Personalized Care: Active participation in the assessment and development of a personalized care treatment plan that incorporates overall health activity level and health goals with corresponding care teams.
- Innovative care: Inova is actively pursuing an Epic Gold Stars Level 9 designation and is proud to be a national leader in EHR. Our clinicians have access to designated physician informatics specialists within their specialty for training. We leverage cutting-edge technology including a robust telemedicine platform to deliver efficient personalized care.
Primary Care Sports Medicine Requirements:
- Certification: Board Certified or Eligible inin Internal Medicine Family Medicine Pediatric Medicine or Emergency Medicine with Fellowship training in Sports Medicine.
- Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical program
- Licensure: Active VA medical license or ability to obtain an unrestricted medical license to practice Sports Medicine and active unrestricted VA DEA or ability to obtain
- Credentialing: Ability to successfully obtain credentialed privileges through Inova
- BLS through American Heart Association
