If you are an experienced Procurement or Supply Chain Professional looking for an opportunity to grow Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Copeland locations in the US and Mexico you will drive sourcing for Copelands MRO categories. This role includes driving category strategies across all Copeland locations globally optimizing total cost of ownership securing supply continuity identifying new savings opportunities managing supplier performance and driving procurement excellence across global site.

AS A COMMODITY MANAGER (MRO) YOU WILL:

Execute and develop category strategies for MRO categories ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder priorities.

Conduct market analysis benchmarking and supplier research to identify trends and opportunities.

Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives including RFPs supplier negotiations contracting and implementation.

Manage testing requirements and implementation steps of complex projects

Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across our plants and operations leadership to align sourcing solutions with business needs.

Identify cost savings trade working capital improvements and value creation opportunities through supplier consolidation demand management and contract renegotiations.

Manage supplier relationships and performance including SLAs KPIs and regular business reviews: Lead supplier selection onboarding and performance management. Develop and monitor KPIs such as OTIF quality performance lead-time adherence and cost savings. Manage supplier business reviews and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Ensure compliance with procurement policies and relevant legal ethical and risk requirements.

Track and report on savings initiatives contract coverage and sourcing pipeline activity.

REQUIRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Bachelors degree or equivalent working experiences in lieu of the degree

4 years of work experience in procurement.

Ability to work effectively with various levels of the organization as well as external vendors to effectively manage scope of work and ensure alignment with business needs

Problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity assess risk and drive forward progress in a structured manner

Strong verbal and written communication skills and professional presentation skills

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and on a team

Ability to travel domestically (5-10%)

PREFERRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Project management experience

  • Manufacturing procurement experience

Collaboration First Hybrid Work Arrangements:

This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate a collaboration first mindset which is the understanding that teams will work together in-person and colleagues should be flexible to adjust their hybrid days based on business needs. You will have an opportunity to work with your team and leader to determine when you should be in office to drive meaningful connections and to best serve our customers.

The newly renovated Sidney campus has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor with an additional 120k square feet of leading-edge lab facilities. This location is the headquarters for the HVACR Americas business unit. Through our 30 years of scroll compressor expertise our products help bring comfort and convenience to commercial industrial and residential spaces.
