Sr. Human Resources Specialist (HR & payroll exp. req.) Description
Our client a well-established manufacturing company just outside Racine WI (<75 employees) is looking for a Sr. Human Resources Specialist to join their close-knit team at a really pivotal time. After the most profitable year in company history theyre doubling down on their people and looking for someone to lead HR efforts with both care and practical vision. Reporting directly to the President youll oversee all aspects of human capital management and work closely with the President Controller and Senior Accountant alongside an external HR Business Partner (ADP). While theres plenty of hands-on day-to-day HR work this role is ideal for someone who enjoys building better processes removing roadblocks and helping teams work more effectively together. Theres real opportunity here to modernize how HR supports the business with visibility and influence across the organization. Important Note: This role offers flexibility to work from home after training. Onboarding typically lasts up to 6 months. Once youre up to speed youll have the option to work remotely 1-2 days per week.
Sr. Human Resources Specialist (HR & payroll exp. req.) Responsibilities
Serve as a go-to resource for employee questions and support
Lead and improve recruiting onboarding and offboarding processes
Oversee payroll benefits administration and compliance with employment laws
Support HR programs and company initiatives from planning through execution
Mediate employee concerns and conduct investigations
Update HR policies and procedures to align with organizational values
Support employee growth through development and succession planning
Maintain HRIS data employee records and prepare HR reports as needed
Collaborate with department leads on performance management guiding fair resolutions
Lead employee engagement fostering a positive inclusive and safe workplace culture
Align HR strategies with business goals to support organizational success
Sr. Human Resources Specialist (HR & payroll exp. req.) Qualifications
5 years of human resources experience required
Payroll processing experience required
HRIS experience required
Ability to work onsite full-time for the first 6 months
