Position Title: Manager of Surgical Services

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Manager of Surgical Services to lead and direct the functions of the surgical department. This role ensures the effective delivery of safe high-quality patient care while maintaining compliance with administrative and clinical policies and procedures.
The Manager will oversee daily operations foster collaboration across interdisciplinary teams and drive continuous quality improvement in patient care and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and accountability for the delivery of safe high-quality patient care in the surgical department.
Ensure nursing practice policies and procedures comply with legal accrediting and regulatory standards.
Direct continuity of care using an interdisciplinary team approach collaborating with physicians patients and healthcare staff.
Develop and implement programs to measure monitor and improve quality of care in assigned units.
Work toward hospital-wide improvements in core measures patient safety and service excellence goals.
Coordinate patient care effectively with other hospital departments and services.
Maintain appropriate equipment and supplies to ensure quality care delivery.
Participate in rounding and proactively respond to patient needs to enhance patient outcomes and experience.
Foster a patient-centered culture ensuring a healing and quiet environment for patients.
Qualifications
Experience: 3 years of recent Acute Care or Operating Room leadership experience.
Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required.
Licensure/Certifications:

Reports to: Director Surgical Services
Beds in unit: 10 main OR; 2 CVOR
Trauma Level: Level II
Average daily surgical volume: 25
FTEs overseen: 62
