Accounting Generalist Temporary (4-6 months)

Jesuit High Schools finance team is looking for an Accounting professional who knows debits and credits has experience with payroll (Oregon) and generally likes to get the work done efficiently and effectively. General Position Information:

The Accounting Generalist is a temporary Finance team role which will have a broad range of responsibilities such as payroll data entry in ADP transaction and documentation creation for entry into Sage Intacct facilitating and maintaining electronic files for the Finance team and other accounting & finance related activities.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Researching and preparing transaction entries and documentation for revenue and expenses
• Maintaining ADP employee profiles and employee changes
• Preparing payroll spreadsheet (non-regular pay) for upload into ADP
• Preparing general journal entry for payroll for upload into Sage Intacct
• Scanning and maintaining finance/business operations team files
• Ad-hoc projects
• Anything else as assigned by the CFO

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• 5 years experience in accounting ideally with some time with a not-for-profit organization (but not required)
• Knowledge of payroll accounting ideally with ADP or other similar payroll processing platform
• Strong knowledge of accounting best practices documentation and GAAP
• Service attitude ability to interface well with the team
• Ability to get the work done in a high-performing efficient team
• Team player willingness to do work at all levels from scanning to journal entries
• Experience with Sage Intacct a plus (or other large accounting platform)

COMPENSATION:

Compensation for this role depends on accounting knowledge level experience with systems etc. This role is an exempt full-time temporary position expected to be approximately 4-6 months.
