Position Overview
A hospital in Central Florida is seeking a skilled Medical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (MICU RN) to deliver high-quality patient-centered care to critically ill patients. This role requires strong clinical judgment experience with high-acuity patients and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary critical care team.
Available Shifts
Day Shift Rotating weekends
Night Shift Rotating weekends
Responsibilities
Coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill MICU patients
Perform ongoing assessments and implement individualized care plans
Carry out physician-ordered procedures treatments and monitoring
Administer medications and document care accurately in the electronic medical record
Educate patients and families on medical conditions treatment plans medications and follow-up care
Translate complex medical information into understandable terms for patients and caregivers
Support evidence-based practice initiatives and continuous quality improvement efforts
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Advocate for patients and families while promoting safety and compassionate care
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of recent Acute Care RN experience (within the past 3 years)
Higher-acuity experience preferred; strong Med/Surg candidates considered
Active Florida RN license or approved multistate compact RN license
Compact license holders must obtain Florida licensure within 60 days of relocation
BLS (AHA) certification required
ACLS certification required
Associate Degree in Nursing required
