Position Overview

NurseAmerica is seeking an experienced Travel ICU Registered Nurse for a high-acuity Intensive Care Unit supporting medical neuro cardiac surgical and trauma patients. Candidates with strong cardiac and charge nurse experience will be prioritized.

Unit Details

Total Beds: 42
- Neuro/Medical ICU: 22 beds
- CTICU: 6 beds
- Surgical/Trauma ICU: 14 beds
Floating: Required (to all units except Behavioral Health and ER unless holding)
Scrub Color: Navy
EMR: EPIC (required)

Clinical Experience & Skills

Required Experience:

Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience
(ICU SICU CTICU Trauma ICU MS ICU or Neuro ICU)
CRRT experience required (Prismaflex / Prisma or NxStage)

Highly Preferred:

Cardiac / Heart experience
Charge Nurse experience

Common Diagnoses:

Neuro/Medical ICU: Stroke Sepsis AMS Neuro interventions (TCAR) Respiratory Failure CHF Post-STEMI
CTICU: CV Surgery Cardiogenic Shock AAA
Surgical/Trauma ICU: Trauma major post-operative cases

Specialty Equipment:

IABP
CRRT (Prismaflex / NxStage)
Ventriculostomy
ICP monitoring
TTM (Arctic Sun)

Requirements

Active NY RN License (verified via NURSYS)
Current AHA BLS ACLS NIHSS
EPIC EMR experience
Two (2) recent ICU Charge RN or Nurse Manager references
Skills checklist matching ICU specialty
Valid drivers license with matching address
RTO must be submitted at time of submission

Travel & Local Criteria

Travel RNs: Must live 75 miles from assignment location
Local RNs accepted (local rate applies)

Pay & Overtime

Hourly Rate: $66.79/hr
Weekly Pay (36 hrs): Starting at $2404.44/week
Overtime:
- Daily OT after 24 hours
- Weekly OT after 48 hours
- Paid per contract multiplier
