The MSE Foreman oversees daily construction activities for mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) wall systems ensuring work is completed safely on schedule and in accordance with plans and specifications.

Responsibilities
- Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans making changes when necessary due to weather supply delivery and personnel.
- Sustain daily safety meetings with all crew members at the beginning of each different job activity.
- Clarify and explain as needed to all crew members the construction means and methods to be utilized during daily job activities.
- Delegating individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors
- Providing adequate resources and staffing to meet project schedules laws regulations best practices and safety needs.
- Emphasizing the safe use of tools machinery and equipment while providing training on safety gear helmets and procedures
- Resolving conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably
- Regularly reporting project status to supervisors.
- Ensuring a clean and organized work area and improving and maintaining good housekeeping practices.
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively with crew members.
- Ability to think logically about the work at hand and compare site conditions with project designs.
- Ability to read blueprints and other project-related documents.
- Ability to use email smartphone tablet or computer to manage company information and documents.
- Must be able to maintain acceptable attendance standards per the employee handbook.
- Maintain constant alertness to the multiple concurrent activities of the construction site including the activities of other employees and contractors the operation of stationary equipment and the movement of mobile equipment.
- 1-year construction related experience (roads highways bridges etc.)
- Completion of High School or secondary education is preferred.
