Finning Canada is seeking experienced Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanics to work a 14x14 rotation in the Fort Nelson area. Location: Fort Nelson BC
Schedule: 14x14 continuous rotation
Logistics: Techs travel to Fort St John (on travel allowance) then company provided truck from there

Job Description:
Major Job Functions:
- Troubleshooting and repairing Caterpillar and other mechanical equipment
- Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
- Complete technical documentation (service reports warranty crossover notes)
- Interact with customers sales support and the rest of the Finning team
- Work with the Service Supervisor and Lead Hand on various tasks as required
Qualifications:
- Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification
- Dual Tickets will be an asset
- Valid drivers license with a successful recent driver abstract
- Field Service experience
As there is minimal training available for this position the following experience is required:
- 3600 CAT engine experience
- Gas Compression experience (ability to work on all makes; GM Kubota Cummins)
- Ariel Compressors (also Mycom Sulair)
- CAT experience with ADEM 4 exposure
Important Details:
- A condition of employment is the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol fitness testing) and wear a respiratorwhere applicable
