Job Description:
This person is responsible for cash application and administration of funds through multiple payment sources in the factoring division as well as various accounting functions.
Qualifications: This person should have an associates degree plus four years of related work experience or the equivalent. This person should have a basic understanding of accounting and possess strong communication skills organizational skills and the ability to use all Microsoft Office applications.
Principal Responsibilities:
Complete cash application functions.
Balance and execute outgoing funds per request to a variety of outside sources such as ACH wire and fuel card providers.
Review remittance information and other documents for completeness validity and accuracy according to determined policy. Research remittance where carrier information is missing or inaccurate.
Assist with accounting functions:
Daily factoring trial balance account reconciliations
Process foreign payments adjustments returned non-sufficient funds payments and drafts.
Enter various journal entries for funds transfers/credit memos/fee application
Audit Ach/Wire templates for update/deletion
Upload EOD reports to Banking Ops for reconciliation requirements.
Analyze accounts for release letter attainability/account closing.
Monitor special accounts and complete loan payments/payoffs.
Act in accordance with FBT policies and procedures as set forth in the employee handbook.
Adhere to compliance procedures and participate in required compliance training.
