Other Conditions: To begin approximately February 2026 pending position clearance and/or availability of funds.The position is located at the University of Hawaiiat Manoa and is renewable annuallycontingent upon availability of funds program/operational needs satisfactory performance and good academic standing. This is an I I-month position which means the position is on duty throughout the year except during periods of authorized leave.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Archivist for University Records supports the processing of collections belonging to and related to the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resilience (CTAHR). Liaises regularly with the Associate Dean for Research at CTAHR forproject updates and additional guidance.
Processing includes arrangement description and preservation activities and the assignment of metadata following Describing Archives: A Content Standard and other activitiespreparing selected records and papers for digitization.
Supports the digitiztaion process where needed including but not limited to working with digitization teams to ensure quality control document tracking and digital file organization.

Minimum Qualifications:
Enrolled full-time at the University of Hawaii at Manoa in the Library & Information Science (LIS) graduate degree program at the time of hire and throughout the appointment period be in good academic standing and maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 or above.
Enrolled or completed either LIS 659 LIS 654 LIS 658 LIS 657 or demonstrated knowledge of archival principles.
Strong interest in learning or honing research and analytical skills including research
evaluation survey and protocol design.
Strong organizational writing and communication skills.
Keen attention to detail and ability to synthesize information.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships withfaculty staff and students.
Knowledge of Hawaiian natural history agricultural science and/or CooperativeExtension.
Demonstrated experience in Word Excel PowerPoint (or comparable) software.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Desirable Qualifications:

Knowledge of natural and cultural resources in Hawaii.
Knowledge of experience or strong interest in one or more fields of study related to CTAHR notably agricultural sciences animal science natural resource management or family and consumer science.
Prior work experience on a University of Hawaii campus.
