Job Summary
Location: Denton TX Pay:$28.00 per hour Job Type: Temp-to-Hire Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (plus on-call rotation)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee the daily physical operations of a residential community in Denton. This role is perfect for a hands-on leader who excels at troubleshooting HVAC plumbing and electrical systems while ensuring a high standard of service for residents.
As a Lead you will manage work orders supervise repairs and maintain the propertys overall safety and curb appeal.
Primary Responsibilities
Operations Leadership: Oversee daily maintenance tasks and supervise repairs for HVAC units plumbing systems electrical components and household appliances.
Emergency Response: Participate in a mandatory on-call rotation every other week to handle after-hours emergency requests.
Preventative Maintenance: Identify and address potential issues before they become emergencies to ensure the long-term health of the property.
Safety & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols including the use of required PPE and hearing/safety warnings.
Requirements & Qualifications
Certifications (Non-Negotiable): Must possess valid EPA and CPO certifications.
Experience: Proven experience in apartment or multi-family housing maintenance. Prior supervisory or Lead experience is highly preferred.
Technical Skills: Expert-level troubleshooting in HVAC plumbing and electrical systems.
Physical Ability: Must be comfortable standing for long periods bending twisting reaching and lifting up to 50 lbs. Work involves both indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to heat and cold.
Compliance: Must pass a CIA background check and drug screen. (Note: No theft or violent crime convictions).
Shift & Environment
Standard Shift: 1st Shift (8 AM 5 PM).
Availability: Must be available for weekend work and overtime as needed.
On-Call: Every other week rotation is required.
Uniform: Steel-toe boots are required. Dress code includes a plain T-shirt (no graphics) and jeans.
