Clinton Public Schools is seeking a dynamic and dedicated leader to serve as the next Assistant Principal of Clinton Middle School (CMS). CMS is home to approximately 600 students in grades 58 and proudly reflects a culturally and linguistically diverse community of learners. Looking ahead CMS will transition to a new state-of-the-art facility serving grades 48 in the fall of Assistant Principal will play a vital role as an instructional and administrative leader working in close partnership with the principal to ensure high-quality teaching effective school operations and a safe inclusive environment where all students can thrive. This leader will champion initiatives that promote academic growth student well-being and equity across every facet of the school ResponsibilitiesInstructional Leadership: -Supervise observe and evaluate educators using district and state frameworks.-Provide instructional feedback professional growth support and goal setting for faculty.-Participate in curriculum alignment and development across grades 58.-Facilitate educator collaboration through regular team meetings and data Behavior and School Climate:-Lead the weekly Student Support Team meetings -Serve as the primary administrator for student discipline.-Conduct investigations and enforce fair progressive disciplinary measures.-Shape a respectful inclusive and equitable school and Community Engagement:-Partner with families through transparent respectful communication.-Promote family involvement in academic and behavioral support.-Build trust and collaboration among families staff and the Safety and Operations:-Ensure building safety student supervision and emergency preparedness.-Implement systems to prevent bullying harassment and other safety concerns.-Support physical and psychological well-being for all and School Logistics:-Collaborate on master scheduling for students and staff.-Collaborate on daily coverage substitute assignments and supervision duties.-Collaborate with the principal in managing crisis procedures including lockdown and evacuation Culture and Events:-Promote and collaborate on school-wide events during the school day and after school hours.-Serve on school leadership and hiring Qualifications:-Masters degree or higher in education administration special education or related field.-Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience preferably at the middle school level.-Valid administrator/principal licensure (or eligibility).-Strong communication organizational and technology skills.-Proven ability to manage complex issues and lead Qualifications:-Prior experience in school administration or a related leadership role.-Experience providing professional development for educators.-Multilingual applicants are encouraged to applyWork Environment and Physical Requirements: -Work occurs across office and classroom settings with frequent movement around campus.-Must be able to sit stand and navigate school grounds regularly.-Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and travel between school buildings as and Inclusion Commitment:-Uphold district values of equity anti-racism and nondiscrimination in all practices and policies.-Promote respect for diverse identities experiences and cultures within the school Transparency:This position is hired under an individual contract.
