Position - Living On site Youth Development Specialist

Job Location - New London WI

Starting Date - Immediate

Employment Term - Direct Hire

Employment Type - Full-Time

Work Hours - 2-2-3 schedule 12pm-10pm

Starting Pay - $18-$24 an hour

Benefits - Discussed in Interview. Have great benefits

Required Education - Associates Degree but Bachelors and Masters preferred

Required Experience - Working with Youth

As the Youth Development Specialist you will be responsible with the helping houseparents conduct the operations of the home while living on the premises. Not only will you be responsible with maintaining the home but providing healthy youth activities encourage spiritual growth and create a safe environment.

Responsibilities

Support house parents with leadership including administering appropriate discipline with constant communication with house parents.
Creating a safe environment by displaying calmness and a non-reactive posture.
Creating an interactive environment with the youth.
Help maintain the facility by contacting the right department and assisting with any maintenance needs.
Assist and schedule for events and facilitate activities to help with growth and development

Qualifications

Motivated to help young minds
Experience working with at-risk youth
Bachelors Degree Preferred
Well Organized with special attention to details
Assertive self-confident and sensitive in working with teens and staff
Strong communication skills - written and verbal
Ability to relate to aggressive teen who has been in trouble with the law.
Possess a driver license without restrictions.
Demonstrate spiritual social emotional and intellectual maturity
