A successful and financially stable secondary school in Merseyside is seeking a skilled and dependable Finance Officer to join its business support team from January 2026. This is a key operational role within the school supporting both day-to-day financial processes and longer-term planning.

The Role
You will work as part of a small experienced finance team reporting to the School Business Manager and supporting senior leaders with accurate compliant financial management.
Key responsibilities include:
Processing purchase orders invoices and reconciliations
Monitoring departmental budgets and expenditure
Supporting monthly and year-end financial reporting
Maintaining accurate records for audit and compliance purposes
Liaising with suppliers and contractors
Supporting procurement and value-for-money initiatives
