Job Summary
We are working with a prestigious independent school in Leeds recruiting for a scholarly English Teacher. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing senior school where academic rigor and classical literature are central to the curriculum.
The Role You will teach English Literature and Language across KS3 and KS4 with the potential to lead A-Level seminars. The role focuses on delivering a bespoke curriculum that encourages critical analysis and prepares students for competitive university entry. Key responsibilities include:
Delivering literature-rich lessons to small highly motivated classes
Leading University Prep seminars for Year 12 and 13 students
Contributing to the schools debating society and literary journals
Providing detailed academic feedback to accelerate student progress
Participating in the wider life of the school including co-curricular clubs
