Job Summary

LMN is seeking an Interior Designer to join our team. This role is suited to an interior designer with 10 years of professional experience who is passionate about design demonstrates strong design sensibility and values the process of developing ideas through concept diagrams visualization and material exploration. The ideal candidate works independently and collaboratively supports design leadership within project teams mentors junior staff and ensures that design intent is clearly communicated through accurate coordinated and buildable documentation. They engage effectively across the firm balancing creativity with technical accuracy and constructability.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Participate and occasionally lead interior design efforts across a range of project types from concept development through design execution documentation and construction.
  • Work independently with minimal oversight while fostering collaborative professional relationships with internal and external project teams including design leads architects and consultants to achieve cohesive and integrated interior and architectural design solutions. Develop programming documents design concepts and space plans that align with client goals project parameters and firm standards.
  • Manage and prioritize interior design deliverables within overall project workflows including organizing tasks setting priorities and coordinating meetings and deadlines as needed.
  • Apply a strong working knowledge of interior finishes materials and products in support of high-quality constructable design solutions that are durable and appropriate for the long-term life of the built environment.
  • Prepare design and construction documents including detailing interior architectural design solutions and ensuring accuracy and constructability.
  • Participate in client meetings and interface with owners contractors and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead or support FF&E design efforts including specification coordination and communication with vendors.
  • Utilize Revit Enscape Rhino Adobe Creative Suite and Miro to support design development visualization and presentation.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of contracts budgets and construction processes while working effectively with owners and contractors.
  • Maintain awareness of building codes building systems and sustainable design standards including LEED WELL and Fitwel.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Interior Designer or Licensed Architect with 10 15 years of experience.
  • Bachelors degree in interior design architecture or a related field.
  • NCIDQ certification preferred.
  • LEED accreditation preferred with a strong understanding of sustainable design and familiarity with the WELL Building Standard.
  • Proficiency in finish material selection and specification as well as documentation and detailing of interior architectural elements.
  • Experience with FF&E package development delivery and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of building codes and building systems.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication organizational and analytical skills.

Office & Hybrid Hours
LMN employees collaborate in-office on Monday Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday. Fridays are hybrid workdays that allow employees to work in the office from home or any location they choose. Core work hours are from 9:30 am - 4:00 pm and provide flexibility for employees to structure their schedules around personal commitments and commuting.

Compensation
This is a salaried position with a pay range of $100000 to $115000. Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.

Benefits
Eligible salaried employees receive an annual performance bonus depending on LMN profitability and individual performance. LMN offers medical dental and vision insurance to employees and their families along with an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Depending on the employees choice of health insurance coverage a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and a Health Savings Account (HSA) are available as well as a Dependent Care FSA for employees with eligible dependents. Employees are also covered by long-term disability insurance and group term life insurance. After meeting eligibility requirements employees may enroll in the LMN 401(k) plan which includes discretionary matching and profit-sharing contributions. Employees accrue a minimum of 3 weeks of paid time off (PTO) during their first year and observe 9 holidays including 2 floating holidays.
