EEO/M/F/D/V FACILITIES/PROJECT ENGINEER-Salary Onsite Position Plans and coordinates activities related to infrastructure projects including facility offices grounds equipment and layouts. Works with involved contractors and inside departments to achieve overall satisfaction on project goals budgets and timelines. - Oversees preparation of bids and contracts for outside contractors and suppliers and acts as liaison between all involved parties.
- Ensures building codes safety standards and environmental regulations are strictly adhered to.
- Reviews cost estimates and bills for savings opportunities and accuracy.
Manages coordinates and schedules various plant inspections as well as any required plant equipment inspections including but not limited to Fire Cranes EPA and OSHA. Coordinates contracts compliance and hauling schedules related to scrap steel facility wastes and any used equipment sale or other disposition. Works with maintenance and facility department personnel to maintain buildings and grounds. Responsibilities will also include being an active member of the safety team and assist in management of mitigating safety hazards throughout the organization. Other duties as may be assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelors degree in engineering an associate degree in engineering with facility project engineering experience or relevant equivalent experience.
- Industrial / Commercial knowledge related to the following:
- Construction
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- HVAC
- Proficient in Auto-Cad or similar drafting software
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Environmental education or training
- OSHA education or training
- NFPA education or training
- Machine guarding experience and/or training
- Budget / justification experience
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Shop environment steel-toed safety shoes and safety glasses required
- Must be able to lift push & pull loads of up to 50 pounds
- Work can be strenuous and includes walking climbing kneeling crawling squatting and pulling as well as standing for long periods of time.
SCHEDULE First Shift 7:00 AM 3:30 PM Monday Friday with off-hours nights and weekends as needed. BENEFITS - 401k Match
