Job Summary

Winforms QA for an exclusive backfill here in Linthicum MD this is VERY HIGH priority. 1 interview (virtual) and an offer.

Title: QA Test Engineer

Length: 6-12 months

Location: Baltimore/Linthicum - ONSITE required (Expanded Locations can include Redondo Beach California or Boulder Colorado but not preferred)

1 and done virtual interview

Must be adaptable self-starter and very communicative.

The team knows what needs they done but they are stressed not patient not wanting to train or have to answer a lot of questions.

Software team is working on developing a manufacturing execution system - its FactoryWorks software with a lot of internal home-grown development done on top.

Goal is to have the project completed by June. Team has a scrum master & product owner running 2-week sprints.

Only element of their process that isnt fully modern / agile is they are doing manual testing with users.

Need experience with desktop applications -

Desktop: C# VBA and at least one of these: .NET Java JavaScript including ODBC database communications

Database: Oracle MySQL

Project:

Working on COTS software they do a lot of automation to - dont have a lot of testing software for and so need someone who can help design the test structure and GUI for as well.

Manufacturing system that will have multi-project (adding in automated test platform) etc.

Application Started in VB6 have some old code in that and some older UIs
All desktop - no web testing

Test Engineer (Desktop Winforms or Manufacturing exp)

Primarily manual testing right now - have a few automated but trying to transition to almost fully automated
Functional & Regression testing
Using TestComplete for automation but flex on other tooling if they have something similar
WinForms automated testing
Unit testing - writing for existing code (.NET build-in unit tests or nUnit)
Exposure to GitHub preferred

**High preference for WinForms experience if they dont have that knowing something about manufacturing or supporting manufacture software that would be an alternative to look for and would be a considered candidates**
