Qualifications
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of course work required for a Specialist Degree in School Psychology or Valid Florida certification to practice as a school psychologist.
- Valid drivers license.
- Enrolled and approved by University for internship.

- Clear and concise oral and written communication skills; organizational and management skills.

- Knowledge of and experience with industry-standard equipment materials practices computers and applications.

- Proficiency in assessment including measures of intelligence academic achievement cognitive processing personality and behavior.
- Knowledge of federal and state laws related to student services and individuals with disabilities.
- Knowledge of normal developmental patterns and the needs of at risk and disabled students.
- Knowledge of academic and behavioral intervention techniques in including curriculum-based measures and functional behavioral assessment.
- Knowledge of the impact of cultural ethnic socioeconomic and alternate lifestyles and the impact of these factors on assessment and school performance.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIALJOBFUNCTIONS:
- Administer score and interpret individual measures of intelligence academic achievement cognitive processing personality (to include projective techniques) adaptive behavior and behavior rating scales.
- Write integrated diagnostic reports including recommendations for parents teachers and other allied professionals.
- Evaluate PreK through Grade 12 students with varying disabilities and referral reasons.
- Develop monitor and/or provide academic and /or behavioral interventions for students.
- Collaborate with school personnel and parents and facilitate problem solving that will lead to the development of classroom and home interventions.
- Participate on the school based mental health team.
- Work under the direct supervision of an appropriately credentialed clinical educator trained school psychologist with a minimum of three years of experience.
- Assume major responsibility for psychological services at on school site.
