The Employee Relations team who are part of our People Function provide expert ER advice and support and empower business leaders to promote a positive culture by delivering a fair and consistent application of organisational policies and will work as one of a team of Employee Relations Partners primarily supporting Boots Opticians as it undertakes a period of significant transformation. Reporting into Head of ER you will:
Key Responsibilities
You will partner Boots Opticians regularly partnering with their HR and Senior Leadership team.
You will act as the ER Lead on designated transformation projects / initiatives and will lead the thinking and advise on approach as well as managing the implementation of the People plan working closely with the Transformation People Partner and Head of HR
Using a suite of precedents you will be responsible for compiling the relevant documentation used to support the projects and to report project deliverables as needed to the relevant project manager.
You will be accountable for ensuring fair and legal processes are followed providing advice to the project team and ensuring delivery of the colleague promise.
You may occasionally be required to provide advice and support on how to manage complex ER cases.
You will liaise with and support the legal team with Employment Tribunal claims received in respect of the transformation activity that you lead.
What youll need to have (Our must-haves)
These are the essential skills or experience needed to succeed in this role.
Youll have significant change management experience particularly of organisational design with a strong understanding of current employment law and its application.
You will possess a good understanding and working experience of TUPE and redundancy legislation.
Youll have strong influencing communication and coaching skills.
You will be commercially aware and will use this along with your understanding of people issues to provide sound advice in relation to business initiatives and ER cases.
You will also need to have the ability to plan and prioritise as well as good project management and IT skills.
You will have a background in HR/ER with experience of managing complex ER cases including disciplinary grievance performance management and capability issues.
It would be great if you also have
Professional membership of CIPD level 5 or equivalent qualification.
