Job Summary

The Honda Sales Lead is responsible for delivering the sales targets for each of their carlines while delivering on Hondas GP (GP-STI) targets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a strong understanding of the automotive sales landscape analyze multiple sources of data pointing out areas of concern to management and make recommendations accordingly

  • Achieve sales and direct profit target by managing the correct demand and supply balance within the allocated resources

  • Maintain the desire vehicle days supply target

    • Collaborate with Sales & Production Planning for product ordering and allocation to dealer network (e.g. Drive/ Strategic Holds / Excess Allocation / Fleet)

  • Deliver Vehicle line and Premium Colour profit target / Trim Mix

  • Management of Short-Term Incentives Budget

    • Evaluation of vehicle line pricing competitiveness in the marketplace

    • Support budget milestones (STI planning)

  • Provide volume and STI recommendation based on a thorough decision analysis

  • Develop marketing strategy to achieve sales target within the allocated resource

  • Provide recommendation on vehicle line in market offers / social marketing

  • Ensure that vehicle line content / programs / in market offers are accurate

  • Prepare/Support monthly program meetings

  • Prepare monthly model CAP-DO gap analysis to identify opportunities and develop countermeasure proposals

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary degree

  • 5-10 years of Automotive experience or relevant position

  • Strong communication written/verbal and presentation skills

  • Issue management and/or crisis and media training

  • Project management and workback supervision

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills

  • Keen eye and attention to detail

  • Advanced Excel Knowledge is required (vlookups pivot tables etc)

  • Previous Field Sales Experience at an OEM (e.g. Dealer Operations Managers / OEM Retail Sales Consultant) preferred

  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with all members of the team

  • Develops and maintains good working relationships within Honda North America as well as all other internal and external stakeholders

  • Develop establish and maintain good working relationship with Honda North America suppliers partners consultants stakeholders and other network contacts

  • Enjoys team building approach of management and department - shares results

HIRING PRACTICES

The salary range for this position is $94750.00 - $118438.00 CAD annually. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of job-related factors including education experience knowledge and skill set.

This is an on-site with occasional work-from-home position that requires employees to work on-site four days per week with the opportunity to work-from-home one day per week (with a dedicated workspace at the assigned company office).
