Job Description:

Our client an established mining company operating in Africa with global offices and listings is seeking an IT & Business Systems Project Manager with experience in the mining sector to join their team based out of Gauteng. This pivotal role will manage small to large scale ERP implementation project lifecycles from conception to completion contributing to the digital transformation of the company.

Responsibilities:

Lead endtoend delivery of IT and Business Systems projects.
Development and implementation of project management framework and ensuring projects are managed in line with the framework once implemented.
Define project scope plans and timelines overseeing schedules and key milestones.
Manage project budgets and cost control.
Coordinate crossfunctional teams and allocate resources.
Ensuring accurate and up to date record keeping and reporting.
Managing external providers and vendors related to each project.
Share regular updates with stakeholders and vendors.
Identify and mitigate technical and nontechnical risks.
Development of best practices and driving continuous improvement initiatives by fostering a culture of innovation.
Liaising with external and internal stakeholders at varying levels to ensure implemented solutions meet company objectives.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or similar qualification.
Agile PRINCE2 PMP or similar certification.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in ERP / business systems implementation projects with at least 5 years as Project Manager from inception to completion.
Previous experience in the mining or manufacturing sector with a strong understanding of P2P processes and the integration of linked business systems.
Thorough knowledge of ERP systems software development testing and infrastructure.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central highly advantageous.
Self-driven and able to communicate effectively at all levels.
Strong troubleshooting capabilities to resolve challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
Able to manage multiple tasks within required deadlines and coordinate complex projects.
Willing to travel into as and Africa as required.
