Job Summary

Role Summary

The Regional Manager Partner Office / Zonal Head West Zone is a senior leadership position responsible for driving partner-led life insurance distribution and business growth across the western region. This role leads strategic planning and execution of zonal initiatives manages key external partner relationships (agency bancassurance strategic alliances) and ensures achievement of revenue productivity and compliance objectives.

Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Business Growth

  • Develop and implement business strategies to drive life insurance sales across all partner channels within the West Zone.
  • Assume P&L accountability for the zone focusing on revenue growth market share expansion persistency and profitability.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to refine zonal go-to-market plans and to anticipate industry trends.

2. Partner & Channel Management

  • Build and strengthen relationships with key distribution partners bancassurance partners corporate agents IFAs/brokers strategic alliances and agency networks.
  • Identify onboard and scale new partners to expand distribution reach.
  • Lead negotiation of commercial terms manage partner business reviews resolve escalations and ensure partners meet performance expectations.

3. Sales & Distribution Execution

  • Set ambitious yet achievable sales targets and lead zonal efforts to achieve across agency bank partners brokers and alliance channels.
  • Monitor daily/weekly/monthly sales metrics drive corrective actions and implement productivity enhancement initiatives.
  • Champion cross-sell initiatives digital distribution enablement and GTM execution excellence.

4. Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead coach and develop zonal distribution teams (Area Heads Regional Managers Agency Managers Partner Relationship Managers).
  • Drive recruitment training performance reviews and succession planning to build a high-performance partner-centric culture.
  • Ensure clear performance expectations and accountability across the leadership team.

5. Operational Excellence & Compliance

  • Ensure all zonal operations are compliant with IRDAI regulations internal policies and quality standards.
  • Partner with operations underwriting finance and product teams to optimize processes end-to-end and support seamless execution.
  • Deliver timely and accurate performance reporting and insights to senior leadership.

6. Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as a key liaison between corporate headquarters product and cross-functional teams to align zonal execution with organizational priorities.
  • Provide regular market insights partner feedback and recommendations to influence product enhancements and partnership propositions.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelors degree is required.
  • MBAor equivalent advanced degree preferred (specialization in Insurance/Finance is a plus).

Experience

  • 5 years of progressive experiencein the life insurance domain with strong expertise in partner/channel distribution agency management or bancassurance.
  • Proven track record in leading regional/zonal sales and partner teams with accountability for business growth and operational excellence.
