Reporting to the Manager Contract Maintenance and Support Services this position is
responsible for supporting the Contract Maintenance and Support Services Business Unit to
meet service delivery needs. This includes contract administration inspections performing
analytical work performing operational duties liaising with residents and contractors and
supporting staff on initiatives.

How you contribute to our organization

  • Assists with field activities and inspections on public works projects including delivery of notices field surveys ticket taking customer service etc.
  • Assists with Road Occupancy Municipal Consent and Road Closure permits/applications including performing field review and follow-up with external agencies.
  • Communicates daily with contractors and external agencies to keep updated schedules of work activities.
  • Keep daily records of contractor activities.
  • Assist in ensuring that the applicable safety standards are maintained on construction projects.
  • Assists in measuring work quantities for payment as well as estimating activities for future projects.
  • Assists with drawing and project file management.
  • Assists with operations/construction related activities such as performing the duties of a traffic control person spotter and/or operation of small equipment (i.e. guide post trimming)
  • Provides support in administrative tasks including data gathering and entry.


What you bring to the team

  • Must be enrolled in a college or university and pursuing a diploma or degree in an engineering field.
  • Must have a minimum Class G2 drivers licence access to a reliable vehicle and ability to submit a clean drivers abstract upon hire.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an office environment would be an asset.
  • Problem solving ability required to analyze data and make recommendations.
  • Judgment is required to apply practice escalate issues and setting own priorities.

Pay Rate: $20.05 to $22.27 plus 4% vacation pay and optional enrolment in OMERS pension plan
Hours: 35 Hours per week
Start Date: May 4th 2026
