Job Summary

TITLE: Long-Term Substitute Band TeacherREPORTS TO: Principal or DesigneeJOB SUMMARY: Provides instruction in the curricular areas and behavioral skills to students in 6th through 8th grade during the teachers absenceJOB RESPONSIBILITIESIn the teachers absence follow the lesson plans provided to ensure programming associated with core curriculum and behavioral skillsFollow behavior management plans for students Assists and collaborates with the administration school counselor staff parents and students on matters pertaining to academic achievement and social/emotional/behavioral goalsMaintains appropriate records and protects the confidentiality of dataReports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basisOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:Appropriate State of Iowa Licensure including Substitute Authorization CertificateExperience in classroom teaching PreK 12th grade preferred.
