Play an essential role in the quality and safety of patient care performing a wide range of procedures that assist our providers with the diagnosis treatment and management of patients and their health needs.
We are seeking a Senior Histology Technician Surgical Pathology to:
- Provide daily direction to laboratory staff with regard to laboratory policies and procedures and serve as the dedicated resource for procedures equipment and education.
- Serve as a comprehensive provider of laboratory testing expert medical interpretation of specimens and innovation in laboratory technology
- Develop and maintain teaching / training materials.
- Coordinate work-flow throughout the laboratory to ensure quality results are reported in a clinically useful time frame.

Qualifications
- Associates Degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology OR Education and training equivalent to an associate degree to include:
Education: 60 semester hours including either 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses or 24 semester hours of science courses Required - Bachelors Degree in medical technology clinical laboratory science or chemical physical or biological science Preferred
Work Experience
- 2 years histology or relevant laboratory experience Required
- 3 years histology or relevant laboratory experience Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
- Histotechnician / Histotechnologist (American Society for Clinical Pathology) or equivalent Preferred
