This is a high-impact opportunity for a seasoned project or program manager who thrives in complex fast-paced environments and enjoys working with senior leaders and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings strong execution discipline exceptional communication skills and the ability to keep multiple initiatives moving forward while balancing diplomacy with accountability.
Position Overview
This role sits within an established Financial Risk Group and is focused on driving initiatives that support the resilience of critical financial infrastructure across the U.S. financial system. The Project Manager will translate strategic goals into actionable plans manage cross-functional dependencies and ensure consistent delivery across a portfolio of high-visibility projects. You will work closely with internal leadership and external stakeholdersincluding major financial institutions and government entitiesrequiring maturity discretion and confidence operating at the executive level.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with peers and leadership to translate strategic objectives into detailed workplans schedules and task assignments
- Track progress against goals manage interdependencies and proactively address risks and roadblocks
- Develop and maintain project schedules resource plans and delivery roadmaps
- Establish execution governance cadence and reporting mechanisms
- Produce concise executive-level updates on project status risks dependencies and outcomes
- Facilitate regular execution reviews stand-ups and decision forums
- Coordinate delivery of governance materials stakeholder presentations and materials for industry groups
- Collaborate across internal teams and with third-party partners to ensure aligned execution
- Escalate risks to project roadmaps and delivery timelines when necessary
- Coach and guide peers while also directly contributing to program deliverables and KPIs
Qualifications & Experience
- 5 years of project management experience preferably within Financial Services or a similarly regulated environment
- Demonstrated experience leading high-impact initiatives with senior-level stakeholders
- Strong familiarity with Agile methodologies including Agile planning and Scrum frameworks
- Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
- Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to focus on what truly matters
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills especially in executive-facing settings
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Comfort navigating ambiguity rapidly changing priorities and competing demands
- Proven interpersonal negotiation and conflict-resolution skills
- High integrity and sound judgment with the discretion to manage sensitive and confidential information
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across a matrixed organization

- Work Model: Hybrid In office MondayThursday remote on Fridays
- Compensation: $200K base with flexibility up to approximately $250K for exceptional candidates
