Job Summary

Ecolab the leading global developer of premium cleaning sanitizing and maintenance products and services for the hospitality institutional and industrial markets is seeking a Maintenance Team Lead. This role will include leading a maintenance team to perform regularly scheduled preventative maintenance monthly safety checks as well as repairs and modifications to equipment and facilities as needed.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead team of maintenance associates to ensure proper maintenance and timely repairs of the facilities
  • Supervise repairs maintenance and construction of equipment and facilities on-site
  • Establishesa regular/preventive maintenance strategy and plan
  • Enforce adherence to safety practices policies and principles in compliance with the relevant federal provincial and local laws and regulations
  • Support the annual budget preparation and administration
  • Provide technical assistance to staff and interface with production shift leader/team leader to affect safe repairs to equipment and that equipment is returned to operations in an acceptable condition
  • Receives and processes work orderson a web-based maintenance management system.
  • Make an estimate of the cost of labour and tools/parts needed for work orders; acquires competitive prices for contractors supplies and equipment
  • Maintainsall maintenance data and records in the reliability database
  • Build and maintain the spare parts inventory and maintenance supplies strategy
  • Coordinateswork assignments of Maintenance Technicians with the Capital Projects Engineer and Production Team Lead
  • Develops and maintains the list of preferred vendors suppliers and contractors. Review the contractors qualifications as required
  • Lead the PM Pillar (Preventative Maintenance) implementing all required TPM tools (KPIs BDA 5 Whys etc.) and keeping the link with all other TPM pillars
  • Prepares goal setting individual talent development and formal talent reviews for maintenance staff

Position Details:

  • Support two locations throughout Mississauga involving working in an office and chemical production/distribution setting
  • The position supports multi-shift sites and may be required at times to provide support during various hours including evenings nights and weekends.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree engineering discipline preferred
  • 3 years related experience including team leadership experience
  • Knowledge of hydraulics pumps and automation
  • No immigration sponsorship offered for this role

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to perform physical duties
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs
  • Position will be exposed to chemical production and warehouse conditions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Chemical industry experience
  • Understanding of plant maintenance activities with emphasis on industrial applications or equivalent job experience in electricity power distribution industrial electrical wiring mechanics machine operations general plumbing heating ventilation boiler air conditioning
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial maintenance environment
  • Experience with PLC based applications in an industrial environment
  • Strong technical knowledge. Experience with pumps welding bearings electrical safety forklifts gears hydraulics valves and rigging is an asset.
  • Previous safety and behaviour-based safety culture experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in a Continuous Improvement environment

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

Base salary range is $80000 - $100000

Ecolab in good faith anticipates it will pay within the posted range. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining the compensation for a potential new employee such as education training experience work location travel (if required) etc.
