Job description
This is not a traditional ServiceDesk role. You act as the owner of the digital workplace for Planon employees worldwide shaping how colleagues work with IT and driving improvements across systems and processes.
Planon is in an exciting transition phase aligning IT processes and systems with our mother company. As IT Support Engineer you take ownership of the digital workplace handling 1st-line incidents while also identifying root causes collaborating with 2nd line teams and improving processes and tools. You manage onboarding and offboarding ensure employees have the right equipment and access and contribute to a smarter safer and more efficient workplace globally.
With the right tools and support you have a direct impact on how colleagues work and experience IT every day.
Your main responsibilities
- Incident management: handle analyze and prioritize 1st-line incidents; ensure smooth handover; prevent recurring issues
- End-user workplace support: maintain workstations software OS and network components; keep employees productive
- On- and offboarding: equip new employees from day one; manage the lifecycle of workplace assets
- Optimization & improvement: investigate recurring issues; implement long-term solutions; improve processes and tools
- Asset & workplace management: monitor IT inventory and infrastructure; support procurement and equipment processing
Profile
You are an IT professional who enjoys being close to users and improving IT systems and processes. You are ready to step up from a traditional support role and take ownership of the digital workplace.
Our ideal candidate meets the following criteria:
- A relevant IT education (IT management computer science or similar) optionally complemented with certifications
- 35 years of experience as Support Engineer IT Support or Incident Manager
- Fluent communication skills in Dutch and English
- Motivation to stay up to date with IT developments and apply them to improve processes and tools
- Knowledge of ITIL Azure Intune Microsoft 365 and Windows 11 is a strong plus
