  • Based in Newcastle with hybrid working supported
  • Salary relative to experience and ranges from $99938 to $110271 plus super

The Water Groups Asset Management and Performance team is currently seeking to appoint an Assistant Project Officer to undertake day to day tasks relating to supporting the management of the Hunter Valley Flood Mitigation Scheme including undertaking asset data management environmental assessments community engagement project management and contract management in accordance with NSW and Commonwealth legislation NSW Government and departmental policies and guidelines and asset and environmental management systems for the scheme.

About You

You are a proactive and adaptable professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. You bring:

  • Strong communication and engagement skills enabling you to work effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders understanding their needs and expectations.
  • Sound understanding of NSW planning and environmental legislation with the ability to apply this knowledge to support the management of the Hunter Valley Flood Mitigation Scheme.
  • Technical capability in asset management including experience using asset management software to ensure infrastructure is maintained to an acceptable standard.

Your ability to combine technical knowledge with stakeholder engagement and problem-solving makes you an integral part of delivering positive outcomes for the community.

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in environmental science or engineering construction management asset management or equivalent.
  • Current Drivers License.
