Work as a technical specialist in an agile Automation team with specific focus on cloud hosted continuous integration systems development and support. Work within a team of likeminded IT professionals to implement cutting edge solutions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The duties initially assigned include but are not limited to:
- Contribute as a technical specialist in a dedicated agile Automation team focused on development and support of continuous integration systems.
- Design and build custom testing tools using a variety of techniques including but not limited to: JavaScript SQL Cache ObjectScript.
- Infrastructure management of cloud and locally hosted resources. Including creation and maintenance of automated build and test environments.
- Provide Automation support to cross functional agile development teams.
- Develop non-functional and structural testing strategies to validate application performance security and interoperability.
- Identify functional and non-functional issues in application from design through to validation.
- Other duties may be directed by the company from time to time.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 24 years professional experience in software automation tooling or related engineering roles.
- Proficiency in multiple programming and scripting languages. (e.g. Python Java JavaScript PowerShell Bash TypeScript).
- Experience developing automation tools frameworks or scripts for:
- End-to-end testing for web application
- Software deployment
- Build and release processes
- Environment provisioning - Good understanding of the SDLC and software testing principles.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation of build test and deployment workflows.
- Good understanding of Linux/Unix environments and basic system administration concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to design reliable reusable automation solutions.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) and automating cloud resources.
- Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration technologies (Docker Kubernetes).
- A flexible and adaptable approach to learning new methodology technologies and software Products.
- Experience with agentic AI development is a plus
Education and Training
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent practical experience.
