Lead a team of multi skilled cyber security professionals delivering essential services to Defence through the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) supporting Australian entities to understand and meet their security obligations when engaging in Defence tenders contracts and projects.
The role
- Direct the strategy and operations for a significant Cyber Security consultancy and assurance services practice.
- Provide oversight and manage the quality and appropriateness of the work performed and measurable business benefits. Adopts and/or modifies existing capability improvement approaches as necessary.
- Lead the on-going monitoring and review of portfolios of work for impact on current business activities and the strategic benefits to be realised. Implement governance arrangements and effective reporting. Ensure that programmes are managed to realise agreed business benefits within agreed timescales.
- Provide advice and recommendations to address client needs including strategic cyber advice and assistance Subject Matter Expert input to Programme Design Implementation Planning Industry Co-design sessions Communication Strategies Change Impact Assessments based on expertise and experience.
Key Skills and Experience
- Extensive senior leadership experience.
- Portfolio Program and Project Management expertise qualifications highly desirable.
- Experience in Contract Management in an Australian Government context.
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise in cyber security consulting including a demonstrated ability to apply the highest level of leadership to the formulation and implementation of strategy.
- Deep understanding of the industry and the implications of emerging technologies for the wider business environment.
- Understanding of organisational change management techniques and proven experience in driving transformational change programs within the ICT or Cyber Security domains.
- Highly developed stakeholder management interpersonal and communication skills.
- Defence Intelligence or Federal Government Experience is desirable.
Qualifications
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant applied industry experience.
- Extensive experience in Project and/or Programme Management and service delivery methods including various ICT SDLCs ITSM ITIL. certifications are highly desirable.
- Organisational change management experience certification is highly desirable.
