This is a remote position.
We are continuously recruiting qualified Chuukese interpreters to join our remote interpreter pool.
This is an evergreen opportunity for interpreters who are fluent in Navajo and English and interested in providing over-the-phone (OPI) and/or video remote interpreting (VRI) services.
Interpreters who pass our screening and testing process will be added to our approved interpreter pool and may be activated based on demand.
This is not a one-time job opening but an ongoing recruitment for future assignments and/or on-demand services.
Requirements
Native or near-native fluency in Chuukese and English.
Strong listening comprehension and verbal communication skills.
Ability to interpret accurately and impartially between Navajo and English.
Previous interpreting experience preferred (medical legal community or social services).
Professional demeanor and cultural sensitivity.
Reliable internet connection and a quiet secure workspace.
Availability for over-the-phone (OPI) and/or video remote interpreting (VRI) assignments.
Willingness to complete language proficiency testing training and screening prior to activation.
Ability to comply with confidentiality and data protection standards (HIPAA where applicable).
