JOB TITLE:Coordinator-Arts Integration
REPORTS TO:Director of Performing and Visual Arts
WAGE/HOUR STATUS:Exempt
PAY GRADE: AM3
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Coordinator of Arts Integration is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the districts vision for arts integration for all grade levels and all content areas.
All employees of SISD are expected to act with integrity support organizational goals demonstrate the ability to inspire grow and motivate others utilize feedback drive for results and commit to championing the needs of the students employees and overall district.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university
- Three years of successful job related experience
- Experience in curriculum writing implementation and assessment
Preferred:
- Masters degree or higher from a recognized accredited college or university
- Valid Texas teachers certification
- Five years of successful experience as a classroom visual arts teacher
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Knowledge of overall operation of arts integration at every grade level
- Knowledge of state and local policies governing fine art and extra-curricular activities
- Ability to interpret policy procedures and data
- Strong communication public relations and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of traditional and contemporary methods and techniques for arts integration instruction
- Proven skills in facilitating the use of arts integration strategies to maximize learning in a variety of settings
- Excellent organization communication and interpersonal skills
- Skilled in the area of planning and presenting professional learning
- Works effectively with and lead adult learners
- Strong technology skills including technology integration
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Coordinate the review development and revision of arts integration programs and related curriculum documents and materials.
- Work cooperatively with campus principals and curriculum department members in developing the arts integration instructional programs.
- Plan and provide professional development and facilitate learning communities for both fine arts and non-fine arts teachers.
- Observe classroom instruction and provide feedback and coaching to classroom teachers to facilitate improvement.
- Participate in the selection and adoption of instructional

- Support and organize student travel plans and budgets associated with competitions and/or conventions.
- Coordinate district fine arts competitions shows events and
- Develop and maintain an inventory management system for district fine arts
- Performs all other duties as assigned
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following physical demands:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent district and occasional statewide travel; prolonged and irregular hours; outdoor and indoor work; exposure to sun heat cold and inclement weather.
