About the team and the role:
The team partners closely with sellers to remove barriers to growth build long-term loyalty to the eBay marketplace and improve seller profitability. By understanding seller business needs and taking ownership of outcomes the team supports sustainable marketplace growth.
As a Commercial Exporter Advisor you will work with a portfolio of strategic sellers focusing on cross-border trade and long-term business development. You will build trusted relationships create tailored business plans and act as the primary point of contact for seller queries. Through regular health checks and business reviews you will help sellers track performance find opportunities and achieve their growth goals on eBay. This role is based in the Republic of Ireland requires fluency in German and involves travel as part of seller engagement.
What you will accomplish:
- Drive seller growth by developing and accomplishing tailored business plans that align seller priorities with eBay marketplace goals with a focus on cross-border trade.
- Improve seller performance by analyzing data and trends using internal CRM tools and translating insights into clear actionable recommendations.
- Build strong long-term relationships through regular communication including weekly calls and ongoing email engagement to track progress and address challenges.
- Support high-value sellers across topics such as growth strategies technical issues billing shipping programs and policy questions helping them navigate complexity.
- Conduct monthly health checks and business reviews to measure progress identify risks and uncover opportunities for improvement.
- Educate and mentor sellers on platform updates and seller releases enabling them to adapt quickly and make informed business decisions.
- Collaborate with managers leads and cross-functional partners within a defined vertical including onboarding new merchants and contributing to pilots that grow revenue streams.
What you will bring:
- Fluency in German and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with a range of stakeholders.
- At least 23 years of experience in a sales or commercial role with a track record of meeting or exceeding performance targets.
- Strong commercial judgment and an ability to prioritize effectively while managing multiple accounts or projects.
- Experience building trusted relationships through integrity reliability and a customer-first mindset.
- Knowledge of e-commerce business models and the ability to adapt in a fast-changing environment.
- Confidence influencing and collaborating across different levels of an organization supported by clear and effective communication.
- A detail-oriented flexible approach to problem-solving with the willingness and ability to travel as required.
