Job description
We are currently looking for an Operational Risk Manager with a strong focus on Operational Incident this role you will own and coordinate the full lifecycle of operational incidents across the organization. You ensure adequate incident management - from analysis and remediation to escalation and reporting - safeguarding operational resilience and client trust.
This role is ideal for a risk professional who thrives in a dynamic environment communicates with confidence and can bring structure and clarity during complex and/or timesensitive events.
Department
The Operational Risk Management (ORM) team part of Risk Management and reporting directly to the CFRO operates independently from Robecos first line functions. The team consists of 10 skilled risk specialists who each have their own expertise but also collaborate closely as backup for one another due to the teams relatively small size and Robecos scope.
Ultimately Robecos business departments and the Executive Committee are accountable for managing their operational risks. Our role is to support informed decision-making taking into account risk/return balance.
Responsibilities include maintaining and developing the Robeco Control Framework through risk assessments incident analysis and control monitoring. We provide assurance to clients and stakeholders via ISAE reports SOx reporting and in-control statements. ORM collaborates closely with Legal Compliance and Internal Audit across these activities.
Position & Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Act as central point of contact for operational incidents across the organization.
- Validate and register incidents in the Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) system MetricStream.
- Lead the incident analysis including impact assessments root cause analyses and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders Technology Compliance Legal Security and external providers.
- Escalate major incidents to senior management and support regulatory notifications.
- Prepare incident reports and insights for clients risk committees and ExCo.
- Monitor followup actions and track timely closure.
- Conduct quarterly incident trend analysis thematic reviews and lessons learned.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements (e.g. DORA CPS 230).
- Contribute to ongoing improvements of the incident management framework tools and related processes.
What You Bring
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance Risk Management Business Administration Economics or related field.
- At least 4 yearsof experience in operational risk incident management internal control - preferably in financial services or asset management.
- Understanding of operational processes across business operations and IT.
- Familiarity with GRC systems such as MetricStream or similar.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical skills and structured problemsolving capability.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex situations clearly.
- Proactive mindset with strong ownership and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm assertive and solutionoriented in highpressure situations.
- Effective stakeholder management across multiple departments and seniority levels.
- Strong integrity risk awareness and sound professional judgment.
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Professional certifications such as FRM CRMA CISA CISM or ORM.
- Experience with regulatory frameworks such as DORA EBA guidelines and ESMA requirements.
