ABOUT THE ROLE
A large Australian Government science and innovation organisation is seeking an experienced APS6 Salesforce Developer to support the enhancement and ongoing delivery of a Salesforce platform. This role will focus on building optimising and integrating Salesforce solutions to support digital engagement and organisational objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design develop and implement customised Salesforce solutions aligned with business needs
Configure and optimise declarative tools including Flows validation rules and Lightning pages
Create and maintain custom objects fields page layouts and platform configurations
Deliver system enhancements arising from previous rollout phases including new functionality
Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems using APIs and appropriate integration patterns
Support data migration activities and troubleshoot data integrity issues
Collaborate with internal IT and digital engagement teams to gather requirements and co-design solutions
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Conduct unit testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT)
Use version control and deployment tools to manage releases and contribute to CI/CD improvements
Ensure solutions comply with security accessibility and Australian Government standards
Provide technical advice to support continuous improvement of Salesforce usage
Essential:
Demonstrated experience developing Salesforce solutions across Sales Service Marketing Experience Maps and Tableau environments
Strong capability with Salesforce declarative tools
In-depth understanding of Salesforce security model and data architecture
Experience designing and implementing custom objects fields and page layouts
Familiarity with Salesforce AppExchange solutions
Experience using version control and deployment tools (e.g. Git Salesforce DX)
Proven experience with system integrations APIs and integration patterns
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Excellent communication negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
Desirable:
Experience with Veevart
Understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies
Salesforce Developer certification
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce
Knowledge of Australian Government accessibility standards and user-centred design approaches
Australian citizenship is required
Baseline security clearance required
