Job Summary

Valle del Sol is hiring a Pediatrician to provide compassionate high-quality primary care for children and young adults with a strong preference for clinicians who have experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and partnering closely with families and care teams.

Youll have the opportunity to deliver whole-child family-centered carecombining strong general pediatrics with an autism-informed approach that supports developmental needs communication differences sensory considerations and care coordination.

What Youll Do

  • Provide primary healthcare services for children and young adults including physical exams diagnosis and plan of care
  • Deliver preventive care including well-child checks school/sports physicals vaccinations and screenings
  • Evaluate growth and development and manage acute/chronic illness and developmental concerns
  • Provide autism-informed care (as applicable): incorporate sensory-friendly strategies communication supports and family-centered care planning
  • Collaborate with families behavioral health providers schools specialists and community partners to support coordinated care
  • Order perform and interpret diagnostic tests; prescribe/administer medications vaccines and therapies as clinically appropriate
  • Educate parents/guardians and patients on prevention hygiene nutrition activity and treatment plans
  • Maintain timely accurate clinical documentation in the EHR and support a clean safe clinical environment

Qualifications

Education: MD or DO

  • Licensure: Current unrestricted Arizona medical license as a Physician
  • Certification: Board Certified in Pediatrics or Board Eligible (Board Eligible must obtain certification within 1 year)
  • DEA: Current valid DEA registration and certificate

    • Initiative creativity problem-solving ability adaptability and flexibility
    • Ability to collaborate with professional colleagues to provide quality care
    • Friendly welcoming and professional public-facing demeanor
    • Commitment to culturally sensitive care
  • Technical Skills (preferred): Knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with multicultural populations; specialized certifications as applicable
  • Compliance/Screening: Fingerprint Clearance Card (or ability to obtain); clearance from APS Registry and Direct Service Central Registry
  • Transportation: Reliable transportation valid drivers license and proof of auto insurance
  • BLS: Basic Life Support trained or ability to be trained at time of hire
  • Health Requirements (upon hire as applicable):
    • TB screening documentation (PPD QuantiFERON and/or chest x-ray as required)
    • Immunization documentation or titers/declination forms for: Influenza Hepatitis B MMR Tdap Varicella COVID-19
  • Bilingual preferred: Spanish/English
