Position Title: J1 Electrical Maintenance Technician (CCF)Columbus MSPay Rate: $41.17/hourCategory/Shift: Hourly Full-Time / Our maintenance technicians generally work a four day 10-hour scheduleMonday through Thursday 7:00am to 5:30pm with every fourth Friday scheduled as an 8-hour day (7:00am-3:30pm).About The Role:This position supports International Papers Columbus Cellulose Fibers (CCF) facility located in Columbus Mississippi. CCF is a vital part of IPs Global Cellulose Fibers Business. This is a J1 level Electrical Maintenance Technician position responsible for completing scheduled and routine maintenance work along with performing many other duties both as part of a team and independently. Position Responsibilities:Duties include but are not restricted to electrical circuit troubleshooting and repair conduit and wire installation lighting repair PLC troubleshooting and repair drive troubleshooting and repair as well as instrumentation / control valve calibration troubleshooting and exhibit safety as a core value and effectively communicate a shared vision for safetyRepresent both company policy and directionDevelop knowledge of department and mill operations processes equipment and systemsUtilize excellent communication and interpersonal skillsUtilize the International Paper Change Process to drive changeWork effectively alone or within a teamUtilize strong organization skills to handle multiple tasks effectivelyAnalyze problems and develop solutions independently or with teamsMake timely and effective decisionsAbout You: Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:Must be at least age 18High school diploma GED or equivalent work experience requiredEligible for employment in the USThree (3) or more years verifiable experience as a J1 Electrical technicianPrevious multi-skilled maintenance experienceMust possess high standards in the areas of safety quality ethics craftsmanship customer focus and leadership in maintenance and troubleshooting of Electrical related equipment and process problemsKnowledge of key operating areas PLCs AC & DC drives analog and digital field instrumentation and DCS :Two year Associate Degree in any of the IP Core Maintenance skills or related disciplines (Instrumentation or Electrical).Relevant work experience in an industrial environmentStrong math/physics understandingPrior experience as a multi-skilled Electrical/Instrumentation TechnicianAbout Global Cellulose Fibers (GCF):Our GCF business helps customers transform renewable cellulose fibers into essential everyday products.
