Step into a day where precision and creativity meet. On 1st or 3rd shift youll set up and operate a press brake to form custom parts to exact blueprint specifications and work instructions. Youll keep production moving quality high and the work area organized and safe.
A Day in the Life
You start by reviewing blueprints and operation sheets planning your setup selecting the correct tooling and verifying programs. You run parts that include offsets large radii and standard bendsmeasuring frequently with calipers (dial and vernier) micrometers squares and height gauges to meet AQL and work instruction requirements. Youll track counts for good and scrapped parts log production in the Traverse Manufacturing System and immediately flag dimensional or equipment issues to your supervisor or setup lead. Throughout youll keep tools and gauges clean and ready and maintain an orderly safe station.

What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1 year of relevant experience and/or training in press brake or metal fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operation sheets to determine setup and forming operations.
- Capability to set up and run a press brake and enter/maintain data in the Traverse Manufacturing System.
- Mathematical fluency with units of measure fractions decimals and whole numbers.
- Clear written and verbal communication; team-first attitude; dependable attendance.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Quality & Technical Expectations
- Proficient in GD&T and blueprint reading.
- Comfortable using inspection gauges including calipers and micrometers squares and height gauges.
- Report dimensional deviations to a supervisor or setup person; escalate equipment problems immediately.
