We are looking to add anElectronics Assembly Technician IVto our team. If you enjoy working in a startup environmentand are passionate about developing leading-edge hardware for satellites spacecraft and aerospace systems we would like to hear from you.

As an Electronics Assembly Technician at Cesium Astro you will be a key team member in ensuring the quality and delivery of our products meets our customers expectations. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-reliability industries such as Aerospace Automotive or Medical devices. You must be responsive flexible and able to succeed in a fast-paced environment and be capable and motivated to build repair and maintain an SMT circuit card and electronics final assemblies.

As we are a start-up the expectation is that we all wear many hats and at times you may be asked to assist in additional duties such as performing cycle counts of inventory assisting in shipping and receiving functions or other tasks.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • A high school diploma or degree in Electronics desired.
    • 6 years of experience in electronic assembly operations such as SMT AOI Prepping Components X-Ray De-Panel and Soldering.
    • Understanding of fundamental aerospace standards and procedures such AS9100 5S general traceability requirements.
    • Experience in interpreting schematics drawings diagrams and other visual aides for assembly.
    • Functions as a team lead providing coaching and mentoring to more junior technicians.
    • Supports training of Technicians and other electronics assembly team members. This includes processes work instructions and skill development.
    • Interprets or explains data or information to deliver messaging regarding tasks for less experienced technicians.
    • Reviews process documentation and work instructions providing input to improve process and product quality and drive efficiencies.
    • Ability to regularly communicate with engineers and design staff to ensure designs are being implemented correctly.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey technical information in a clear and concise manner.
    • Experience using tools safely and correctly to make or repair parts and products. Able to train other junior technicians on the correct methods for using these tools.
    • Excellent hand-eye coordination able to work on small assemblies under magnification with competency.
    • Ability to differentiate between colors to identify colored electrical wires.
    • Attention to detail and the maintenance of a clean workspace.
    • Ability to read parts lists and make sure all are present as well as audit physical parts against Engineering BOMs for traceability and accuracy.
    • Significant experience with routine preventive maintenance and procedures can perform these tasks with minimal supervision.
    • Experience maintaining inventory and placing orders for more supplies as needed able to coordinate with material handling team regarding kit issues or traceability concerns.
    • Strong computer skills experience working with MES systems etc. Able to train other junior technicians on Microsoft suite and manufacturing MES systems.
    • Familiarity working in an ESD and FOD-controlled environment as well as cleanroom standards and procedures
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow strict safety guidelines.
    • Ability to work overtime as needed or required.
$35.42 - $46 an hour
