Job Summary

Aurora R-8 is seeking a library media specialist to work with students at the preschool-second-grade levels during the 2026-2027 school year. Applicants must have a valid Missouri Library Media Specialist certificate. This position provides support to the instructional program with specific responsibilities for instructing students on the proper use of the library resources; develops and implements a library program that provides equitable physical and intellectual access; integrates multiple literacies into instruction; supervises clerical functions related to collection processing circulation maintenance and inventory of library materials; documents losses and monitoring procedures; implements age-appropriate programs for students utilizing library resources; and selects appropriate items in support of classroom instruction.
