Job Summary
You will be working with a unique and gifted team developing exciting products for consumers. The team is a multidisciplinary group of engineers and scientists engaged in a fast paced mission to deliver new products. The team faces a challenging task of balancing cost schedule and performance requirements. You should be comfortable collaborating in a fast-paced and often uncertain environment and contributing to innovative solutions while demonstrating leadership technical competence and meticulousness.
Your deliverables will include development of thermal solutions concept design feature development product architecture and system validation through to product release. You will play critical role in product development by applying advanced simulation techniques and experimental tools to develop innovative design solutions for complex electronic products.
Key job responsibilities
In this role you will:
Evaluate and optimize thermal solution requirements of consumer electronic products conducting feasibility studies and trade-off analyses to improve system thermal efficiency within product constraints
Use simulation tools like Star CCM/EFD/FloTherm XT for product analysis and design and validate design modifications through simulation and prototype testing
Establish temperature thresholds for user comfort and component reliability leveraging comprehensive knowledge of materials and temperature response
Design and execute statistical tests to validate models identify risks and assess design margins; conduct laboratory testing using stability chambers IR cameras and data acquisition systems to resolve thermal performance challenges
Partner with software and electrical teams to define thermal control strategies for power and cooling optimization and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate thermal management from concept through volume production
Create and present analytical assessments and experimental results to engineering leadership and develop design guidelines based on project learnings

- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- 4 years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills attention to detail and effective communication abilities
- Masters degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Demonstrated design experience with consumer electronics enclosure materials
- Strong understanding of heat transfer principles thermodynamics and fluid mechanics with an emphasis on electronics cooling
- Familiarity with Python C Java or related programming language
