Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President Data Architect
The Assistant Vice President (AVP) Data Architect is a senior leadership role responsible for defining governing and evolving the enterprise data architecture across cloud and hybrid environments. The role requires deep expertise in Snowflake Databricks AWS Azure and modern data engineering platforms. The AVP will drive the data strategy ensure adherence to architectural best practices and enable scalable secure and highperformance data solutions that support analytics AI/ML and digital transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities
Enterprise Data Architecture
Lead enterprise-wide data architecture strategy frameworks and roadmaps supporting business transformation and advanced analytics.
Architect highly scalable data platforms leveraging Snowflake Databricks AWS Azure and other cloud-native services.
Define data models canonical structures data flow patterns and data integration strategies.
Evaluate and select tools technologies and platforms aligned to long-term business goals.
Cloud Data Engineering & Platforms
Design and optimize cloud data lakehouses data marts and warehouse environments.
Drive endtoend architecture for real-time batch and event-driven data ingestion pipelines.
Ensure best practices in infrastructure-as-code data ops CI/CD and automation for data workloads.
Optimize performance cost and scalability across multi-cloud environments.
Governance Quality & Security
Establish standards for data governance metadata management data lineage and data quality frameworks.
Partner with security teams to design secure architectures aligned with regulatory needs (GDPR HIPAA PCI etc.).
Define policies for access control encryption and sensitive data protection across platforms.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Lead a team of data architects and senior engineers; mentor and upskill cross-functional data teams.
Collaborate with business leaders product owners and technology stakeholders to align architecture with strategic objectives.
Present architectural proposals trade-offs and roadmaps to executive leadership and technology committees.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Stay current with cloud data capabilities AI/ML advancements and emerging technologies.
Drive PoCs innovation programs and modernization of legacy platforms into cloud-native solutions.
Promote reusable architecture patterns and accelerators across the enterprise.

Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
Relevant years of experience in data architecture enterprise architecture and advanced data engineering.
Deep hands-on architecture experience with:
oSnowflake (virtual warehouses micro-partitioning data sharing performance tuning)
oDatabricks (Delta Lake Unity Catalog MLflow)
oAWS (S3 Redshift Glue EMR Lambda Kinesis IAM)
oAzure (Azure Data Lake Synapse Data Factory Databricks on Azure Purview)
Strong background in SQL Python Spark ETL/ELT and data modeling (3NF dimensional Data Vault).
Advanced knowledge of distributed computing lakehouse architecture and real-time data streaming.
Experience with tools like Kafka Airflow Informatica dbt Terraform Kubernetes (desirable).

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Bachelors or masters degree in computer science Information Systems Engineering or related field.
Certifications in Snowflake Databricks AWS Azure preferred.
Proven experience guiding architecture teams and delivering enterprise-scale solutions.
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to business leaders.
Strategic thinking with the ability to drive long-term vision and incremental value.
Ability to manage ambiguity in fast-paced matrixed environments.
