About therole:

The M&A Operations team consists of c.250 people who advise clients on the operational and strategic aspects of merger and acquisition (M&A) projects acting as a strategic and trusted advisor to both Corporate and Private Equity clients on transactions ranging from 50 million to over 5 billion. M&A Operations is a market leading team that sits within PwCs Strategy& Value Creation Business Unit and providesa highly complex fast paced challenging yet rewarding environment for those who aspire to grow and develop in their careers. Within M&A Operations sits the Integration team a specialist group of c.16 professionals working cross-sector and focused specifically on supporting clients through complex integration programmes.

As a SeniorAssociate in the M&A Operations Integration team you will supportwith the day-to-daydelivery of M&A integration engagementssupportingyour teamon complex transactions contributing analysisplanningand coordination across integration workstreams.The role offers exposure to high-profile transactions across a range of sectors alongside responsibility for business development teamleadershipand capability building.

What your days will look like:

As aSenior Associatein the M&A Integration team your role responsibilities willlargely cover:

  • Understanding core capabilities within buyer and target organisations to develop integration strategies that both protect and create value creatinga common understandingamongst executive stakeholders on the strategyapproachand plan for integration.

  • Support with designingand buildingclient integration programmes including strategy definition target operating model value creation (synergy) assessment integration planning (Day 1 and 100-Day) and post-acquisition execution.

  • Creating detailed plans to complete integration activities.

  • Managing people change and culture to create engagement and buy-in from all stakeholdersthroughout the integration.

  • Support withthe creation of proposals and client presentations in collaboration with other PwC functional and sector teams.

  • Collaborate with theIntegrationteam to build and share knowledge support the continuous development of best practices and introduce relevantnew ideas(e.g. digital tools).

  • Support practice development initiatives

This role is for you if:

  • Experience providing professional M&A integration advisory services to clients; oroperational management or business transformation experience in a corporate environmentorinternal consulting role.

  • Experience of the deal-cycle and/or other largecomplexand fast-pacedprojects.

  • Practical experience developing M&A integration strategy and planssynergyassessment and development designing and implementing target operating models and executing business transformation projects or performance improvement in the context of M&A/deals.

  • Strong quantitativeanalyticaland written skillswiththe ability touse dataandanalytics togenerateinsights andsupportevidence-baseddecision making.Comfortablecreating modelsand presentationsin Excel PowerPointPowerBI Alteryx andsimilartoolsandwritingreports.

  • Strongproblem-solvingskills and aproactive self-starting mindsetwith theability tostructureambiguous issues anddeveloppracticalsolutions.

  • Strong communicationand facilitation skills with the ability to engage and communicate with senior business leaders.

  • A passion for business strategy and M&A integrations.

  • Ability or willingness todevelopskillsin AI digital anddata-enabled ways ofworking.
